Treadmill

The Weighty family spent the day yesterday shopping for a treadmill. We chose the Life Fitness T3-5. We had settled on the Precor M9.23, which was on sale at a pretty good price, but we went to one last store as the day ended, and were really impressed with the Life Fitness product. Mrs. Weighty negotiated a price on the T3-5 that was just too good to pass up. It was a bit too big to wedge into the old van at the same time as the whole family, so we'll get it in a day or two.

I can't wait.

Wow! I betray my naivete, but I would never have thought that a treadmill would fall into that class of machinery that one can price bargain on. Did you go in knowing you were going to bargain or did the salesperson start it off (e.g., "we can give you this for 10% off, but only for today?")?

It all depends on the retailer. A specialty store will probably have some wiggle room, where a big chain like Sears or Costco won't. We bought ours at a store that sells only exercise equipment.

Plus my wife will try to knock a little off of the price with anybody.
